When I was in second grade, I went to a private catholic school. My second grade teacher taught us things that were needed to get our communion. My teacher came to my communion and gave me a snow globe. The snow globe was a precious moments one and it said "Your as Sweet as Pie" and it had a little girl with a pig and the little girl is holding a pie. When she gave me the snow globe, she said to me, I so proud of you! You've worked really hard in class to get your communion and now you did it! I can't wait to see where you go!! Her encouraging me to help me decide to become a teacher because she told me I could do anything if I wanted to. She is the reason that I am become a teacher. You have to encourage people to help them learn and grow and my second grade teacher did that for me. Present
My present is from Bocce Bash. At Bocce, there was coaches and the special needs players. While I was at Bocce, I saw a coach and one of the players talking. The coach was encouraging the player to keep going even though they didn't win. The coach was saying to the player that they did the best they could and that they were so proud of them for doing their best. The coach also said that it didn't matter that they lost because they were having fun! I feel that since there was encouraging the player felt better. I saw that encouraging someone can make them feel more empowered to do better. This event reassured me that I wanted to become a special education teacher.
Future
In the future, I plan on being a teacher that encourages my students in the best way that i can. I want to be a teacher that is encourage their students. I can't wait to see the accomplished look on one of my students faces when they know that I am proud of them for trying their best. I also want my students to know that they are never alone. I want them to come to mw if they need something, I want my students to know I am there for them and will not judge them for telling me something. I'm looking forward to making sure that the children I teach are proud of trying their best. Encouragement creates success and that is what I plan to do to help my students achieve great things.
